The Art of the Aperitif’ is effortless, elegant and easy. All you need is a bottle of Lillet, some ice and perhaps a few accompanying ingredients to create delicious Lillet cocktails. Whether it’s serving Lillet Blanc, Rouge or Rosé as your aperitif of choice – it’s best on ice, with a slice of orange or grapefruit. On May 15th, Maison Lillet is calling on all aperitif aficionados, as well as newcomers around the country, to take part in the custom and the spirit of the traditional French aperitif hour. So grab a few friends, a bottle of Lillet and let the fun begin!
Blushing Manhattan
· 2 parts Lillet Rosé · 1 part Hudson New York Corn Whiskey · 1 bar spoon gum syrup · 2 dashes grapefruit bitters Directions: Combine ingredients in a mixing glass and stir with ice to chill and dilute. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a fresh strip of grapefruit peel. |
L’Elephant Rosé
· 3 parts Lillet Rosé · 0.75 part peach liqueur · 1.50 parts fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice Directions: Shake ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a spring of fresh thyme. www.lillet.com |
