George Dickel
Launches Dickel White No. 1 Corn Whiskey
By Doug Singer
Distilling whisky since 1870, Tennessee-based George Dickel recently added the latest addition to its portfolio—Dickel White No. 1 Corn Whiskey. This unaged white corn whisky is handmade from only the finest grains and legendary Cascade Spring water. It is then finished through George Dickel’s signature Chill Charcoal Mellowing process.
No. 1 is a 91-proof (45.5 % ABV) whisky with a clear appearance and aroma that is soft and abundant with raw grain which mellows into a creamy smooth moonshine type of finish. The Chill Charcoal Mellowing process nods to George’s historic affection for “Winter Whisky” and gives the liquor a softer, smoother finish than traditional moonshines.
Neat or on the rocks will give you the fullest expression, but do not hesitate to try it in any of a wide array of mixed cocktails.
