Get Out Those Old Beads and Tie-Dyed Shirts!

Since 1924, The Roosevelt Hotel has been charming its guests and leaving its door open to travelers from near and far. The “Grand Dame of Madison Avenue” articulates just what a classic New York City hotel should be and does so with style.
On a crisp fall evening I attended The Roosevelt Hotel’s annual customer appreciation party. One of their many majestic meeting spaces was magically transformed into a 1920’s fantasy, done up in a strictly black and white motif, with a theme of old meets new. This was a feast for the senses and beautifully expressed by Jerry Sibal Design Fusion.
The theme of old and new carried over, as on display off of the entry of the event was a staged version of one of the new rooms currently being made over, as the hotel undergoes a major renovation. What is rather apparent is that they are staying true to their roots and keeping the style classic — plush, elegant and most importantly, extremely inviting. Any hotel with such a gorgeous and grand lobby, deserves to honor its future with a healthy nod to its rich history.
With 1,015 rooms that include 52 luxury suites, the Roosevelt and all of its grand architectural features captures a time past, but one which is being celebrated on a daily basis.
