Linea Pelle – The Simply Casual Luxury Collection
By Christina Cha
Weekly tabloids and gossip magazines are notorious for posting pictures of celebrities out on the streets wearing designer brand shoes, clothing, shades and handbags. It’s up to us, the consumer, to recognize these brands and begin our retail mission in search for that exact product that we have just seen on Beyonce, Gwen Stephanie, and Sandra Bullock. One brand in particular that stands out in my mind is the Linea Pelle Collection (LP). Perhaps I stand true to my “Tom-boyish” causal style, but the simplicity and high quality craftsmanship of the Italian washed leather found in all these handbags are what lured me to this simply casual chic brand.
LP has defiantly set a new fashion genre in handbags--the casual luxury. You don’t need to sacrifice your whole paycheck for a Louise Vutton, Gucci, or Chanel handbag to identify your fashionista stature, when a Linea Pelle handbag is only a fraction of the price, yet still just as luxurious.
Casual luxury has earned its respect in today’s fashion, being bolstered by the current the economic situation, and has slyly grass-rooted a new fashion style that screams, “I’m casual chic.” This seasons’ collection for LP brings out a new look with the Perforated Dylon Shoulder Bag ($395) in an array of colors from lime green, sand, deep purple, brown, and black; including a number of pockets with easy to use zip zippers and let’s not forget LP’s signature zebra pattern lining. The Alex Braided Hobo ($395) is also another of the latest additions to the LP Collection and is available in cognac, grey and black. Although the Alex Braid bag is limited on pockets, the bag is quite roomy inside and you will not be dinged by a lack of style.
LP Collection also includes an array of other fine leather goods such as wallets, clutches and belts (both men and women). Personally, I love their belts. Versatile in placement and with styles that are simply timeless. From the vintage style, to the studded metal, waist, skinny, braided, embellished, wide fashion belt, to the traditional classic, it’s fun to mix and match and wrap it around over a tank top with jeans, with a sun dress, or a long hobo skirt. The LP Vintage is the latest addition to the belt collections ($110 - $225). Another favorite and what’s new this summer--look for belts that are the Women’s Jean Belt with Gold Dome Studs ($163). You don’t need to pair this with jeans; in fact, wearing a pencil black skirt with a plain white tank and then layering two or three of these Dome Belts over the skirt will surely have you ready to go out on the town with that simply sophisticated causal chic look.
The LP Collection can be easily found in Bloomingdales, but the best way to purchase their products is to go to Linea Pelle’s user friendly online shopping site at www.lpcollection.com. I highly recommend shopping here first because they have an excellent, user friendly web layout including videos, blogs, and advice on finding the right LP collection to fit your style. Plus, you can find the best deals and discounts including online sweepstake prizes.
Linea Pelle is truly this season’s simply divine, simply casual, simply chic collection to add to your wardrobe.
