La Mode Revient, Traveling Atelier

By Doug Singer

Fashion’s newest retail sensation, La Mode Revient, Traveling Atelier celebrated its launch on a rainy May afternoon in New York City at the Vanessa Noel Boutique. Founded by Sonya Rolin (Sonya Rolin Atelier) and Irene Zelinsky (Rolling Stonz Designs), La Mode Revient (The Fashion Returns) brings a sense of refinement and elegance to the world of retail, conveniently bringing the latest in chic designs to its clients, allowing them to browse, purchase items and mingle with the designers themselves.

The exclusivity of this event drew fashionistas and philanthropists from all corners of this great city as 10% of all proceeds were donated in support of the fight against pancreatic cancer.

Eased into the environment with champagne and hors d’oeuvres, guests mingled as Sonya Rolin’s debuted her full, demi-couture collection of evening gowns, coats and other stylish pieces.  Finding inspiration through her own travels, Sonya’s design aesthetic takes cues from her trips around the globe, from St. Moritz to Capri. All crafted in New York City, Sonya’s designs incorporate such lavish materials as organza, duchess satin, mink and sable as well as beautiful, intoxicating colors sure to make any woman’s wardrobe a coveted one.

Irene Zelinsky’s Rolling Stonz designs finds inspiration in the unique stones and jewels discovered at estate sales and vintage shops. Building upon those pieces, Irene’s designs blend old world charm with modern style, resulting in elegant pieces, each representing a special moment in time. Irene was honored to participate in the National Jewelry Institute designer showcase in spring of 2008, a selection of which was viewed at Forbes Gallery in New York City.

Visiting major cities across the globe, each stop for La Mode Revient will feature the designs of Rolin and Zelinsky and bring together different additional accessory designers, with such lines as handbags, shoes and hats, creating a complete traveling boutique.

The guest designer at the New York City event was Rubin Singer. Previously of Oscar De La Renta fame, Rubin Singer’s designs have graced the likes of Iman and Shakira. Additionally, the spectacular footwear of host store, Vanessa Noel, whose fans include many of the A-list Hollywood set, brought it all together for a highly effective and successful event.

In such a couture-like setting, clients are given unparalleled personal attention as they are styled from head-to-toe, ensuring that all of their needs are catered to and their questions are answered by the actual designers. This level of personal attention and access is truly innovative.

A number of pieces featured at La Mode Revient are one-of-a-kind designs, while several other items will be available as made-to-order for a custom fit. For recession-conscious shoppers, La Mode Revient offers its clients the opportunity to shop privately and discreetly. It is not to be missed.
