Boscia Restorative Day and Night Cream
By Michael Hepworth
Boscia have a selection of preservative free facial moisturizers that combine the best of nature’s botanicals and Japanese technology. The two new products introduced in April 2010 in the line are Restorative Day Cream ($48) and the Restorative Night Cream ($48) for 1fl oz that are guaranteed to renew, repair and restore the skin round the clock. The day cream has the added advantage of SPF15 protection and the list of botanicals and herbs and plant extracts makes fascinating reading.I have used both and can confirm that these are products that do work and here’s one big thumbs up for Japanese know how and technology.
Amongst those chemicals included are Trehalose Derivative, a new one to this writer that apparently is a plant sugar with water binding properties and a skin conditioning humectant providing constant moisturizing. Other ingredients in this cream are Magnolia Bark Extract that brightens skins discoloration and improves elasticity and Mulberry extract which provides a whitening and brightening effect.
The other key ingredients are Mallow extract (reduces lines), Palmitoyl Penta Peptide (skin firmness), Jojoba Leaf and Willowherb (soothing relief).
The night moisturizer is just as effective and contains the same mixture of ingredients and inn the morning you wake up with fresh skin that is not all dried pout. All products are preservative-free and dermatologist tested, alcohol free and Ph Balanced. Boscia is also known for its Blotting Linens that cost only $10 for 100 individual sheets, and there is a choice of up to seven different types including lavender, peppermint, green tea and rose.
Lastly the Clear Complexion Kit with botanical blast is a preservative free acne-fighting skin care system. This kit features the exclusive Sasa Kurliensis Water, an ingredient that sterilizes acne bacteria. The kit also includes a Gel Cleanser, Tonic, Gel and Oil-free SPF 15. This kit retails for $48 and like all other Boscia products is available online or at Sephora.
Other newer items that I have not tried yet include the Oil-free nightly hydration moisturizer at $36 and the Luminizing black mask, a jet black peel off product that certainly sounds intriguing.
